First attempt Konad stamping

So today, I had a little doubt about keep on going growing my own natural nails. I'm a fake nail acrylic girl. So nasty (not that nasty, but nasty in a good way ;), but I love it :). But I'm sick and tired to keep the acrylics onto my nails. It is a lot of work. I'm lazy you know :). No not that lazy, I just don't want them on my nails anymore. I'm thinking about doing acrylic tuts for Youtube on a fake practise finger. It is a option and the nail art stuff on my on natural nails.



My nails are kind of short at the moment. Maybe you wonder how that is possible, cos I have been gone for 3 months. The thing is my nails had to grow out, cos of the acrylics. So they are now all grown out and now I can start to let them grow longer. I hope they will. Follow these steps for natural long nails.



This was my very first attempt to use Konad. I almost threw the whole Konad stuff into my bin, cos the stupid stamper wouldn't stamp the image! Finally with some help from my other nail buddies (Jessica and Rachel) I succeeded! I also found a helpful video if you have any problems with your Konad stamper. Click here for the video. I think it looks horrible, but I have to practise. You can see the stamps looks kinda blurry. But hey it was my first time right :). The polish on my nails is from OPI Chocolate Moose, I did the stamping with Konad polish in brown color. I've used Konad imageplate number 37. So wish me luck for my next attempt for Konad stamping. It is fun :).

OPI Bright Collection Purple with a purpose

This is my notd for today. I was planning to go for the OPI Thanks so muchness from the Alice collection, but I couldn't stand this color, cos I hadn't tried this one yet. Oh my oh my, what a amazing gorgeous color! A favorite of mine now. Simply beautiful purply color! It has a sheen of pink too, just a bit. Lovely!

Dit is mijn notd voor vandaag. Ik was van plan om voor de OPI Thanks so muchness te gaan van de Alice collectie, maar ik kon deze kleur niet meer weerstaan, omdat ik het nog niet uitgeprobeerd had. Oh sjipjes op een rij, wat een prachtige kleur is dit! Het is mijn favoriet nu. Gewoon prachtig! Het heeft ook een lichte rose glans erover. Mooi!



And if you wonder how my natural nails are doing? I did not have any patience to wait for them to grow. So my acrylics are back and I love them so.

En als je je afvraagt hoe mijn natuurlijke nagels het voor zo ver doen? Ik had het geduld niet om te wachten. Dus mijn acryl nagels zijn terug en ik hou van ze.

NOTD OPI Sand in my suit swatch and my natural nails

My NOTD for today. I was a bit scared, to be honest, to show my short natural nails. I know that's sounds so stupid, but I can't help myself. I'm so used to have long nails and now they are so ugly (my short nails). But I want to know if I can have natural longer nails, they don't have to be very long, but just a bit longer will be satisfying. For now I will be having fun with my short ugly nails (lol) and we will see what happens. Hope nothing scarry (lol again).

Mijn NOTD van vandaag. Ik ben een beetje bang, om eerlijk te zijn, om mijn natuurlijke nagels te laten zien. Dit klinkt een beetje stom, maar ik kan er niets aan doen. Ik ben het zo gewend om lange nagels te hebben en nu zijn ze zo lelijk (mijn korte nagels). Ik wil weten of ik langere natuurlijke nagels kan laten groeien. Ze hoeven niet heel lang te zijn, gewoon een beetje langer. Voor nu zal ik gewoon fun hebben met mijn korte nagels (lol). We zullen zien wat er gaat gebeuren. Hopelijk niets engs (weer lol).



For my NOTD I'm wearing OPI Sand in my suit. It's a pretty color. Perfect for spring and summer and a gorgeous color for short nails. So what do you think guys about my short nails? Do you think they will grow a bit longer? I certainly hope so. Otherwise 'Hello again' to my acrylics.

Voor mijn NOTD draag ik OPI Sand in my suit. Het is een mooie kleur. Perfect voor de lente en de zomer en een geweldige kleur voor korte nagels. Wat vinden jullie van mijn korte nagels? Denken jullie dat ze langer zullen groeien? Ik hoop van wel! Anders is het weer 'Hello again' acrylnagels.

NOTD purple nail madness

I'm in a purple mood. Only the sripes are starting to bore me. Next time no stripes for me! Anyway I had a blast again with my nails. Fun!

Ik was in een paarse bui. Alleen de stripes beginnen me te vervelen. Volgende keer geen stripes meer voor mij! Ik had wel weer een knaller met mijn nagels. Gezellig!

So I painted my nails with OPI Plugged in plum and the lilac color is from Gosh nr 571. As you can see in the picure I've painted a stripe with Easy Rite in the middle, then a black stripe at the bottem and a white stripe at the top.

Ik heb mijn nagels gelakt met OPI Plugged in plum en de lila kleur is van Gosh nr 571. Zoals je kan zien in de foto, heb ik mijn nagels gestriped met Easy Rite in het midden, dan een zwarte stripe onder en een witte stripe boven.

OPI Sand in my suit with stripes

I was playing around with my nails. Just having a bit fun. I've come up with this design. Vertical stripes!

Ik was aan het rommelen met mijn nagels. Gewoon ff een beetje geinig doen met mijn nagels. Toen kwam ik op dit design. Verticale strepen!

I've used OPI Sand in my suit. It's a neutral sand color. Love it. Think the color is perfect for summer.

Ik heb OPI Sand in my suit gebruikt. Het is een neutrale zand kleur. Geweldig. Denk dat de kleur perfect is voor zomer.


With La Colors black striper I've painted vertical stripes.

Met La Colors zwarte striper heb ik verticale strepen gelakt.

Very easy to do! Only next time I will use a brown striper. unfortunately I do not have one in my stash, that's why I've used a black one.

Heel makkelijk te doen. Alleen volgende keer gebruik ik een bruine striper. Het is dat ik deze nog niet heb, vandaar ik een zwarte heb gebruikt.

My OPI collection until now

Lately I've been collecting OPI polishes. They are a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. The polish lasts long on your nails, it doesn't chip to soon. I do use a basecoat and topcoat, but I always do so.

De laatste tijd ben ik OPI lakjes aan het verzamelen. Ze zijn een beetje aan de dure kant, maar ze zijn het waard. Ze blijven lang zitten en ze splinteren (wat is het nl woord hiervoor, iemand help?) niet snel. Ik gebruik wel een basecoat en een topcoat, maar dat doe ik altijd.

Until now I have collected 9 OPI polishes, it ain't much, but I love them so. My favorite is 'You don't know Jacques' (first one, in second row). It's a gorgeous brown, slightly gray color. So pretty indeed.

Tot nu toe heb ik 9 OPI lakjes verzameld, het is niet veel, maar ik hou zoveel van ze. Mijn favoriet is 'You don't know Jacques' (eerste, op de tweede rij). Het is een prachtige bruine kleur, met een beetje grijze gloed. Echt zo mooi.

My second favorite of OPI, is the 'Be mine your fine' polish. It's a clear polish with glitters and glitter hollogram hearts in it. I have to show you a close up of the hologram hearts. That's just so pretty, don't you think? Lovely.

Nog een favoriet van mij van OPI is de 'Be mine your fine'. Het is een doorzichtige lak met glitters en hollogram hartjes erin. Ik moet jullie een close up laten zien van de hollogram hearts. Dat is gewoon zo mooi, vind je niet? Prachtig.

Last but not least I've got one swatch for you. I will swatch them one at the time. So I can wear everyday another color. Nice! The first swatch is my favorite 'You don't know Jacques!'. I love dark colors. But I do try to wear more bright colors these past few months. I've promised myself that 2010 will be a colorful year for me! It's all about the colors and positive thinking. Yep it does.

Als laatste heb ik nog een swatch voor jullie. Ik zal per keer een swatch maken. Op deze manier kan ik er elke dag één dragen. Mooi! De eerste swatch is mijn favoriet 'You don't know Jacques!'. Ik hou van donkere kleuren, maar ik probeer meer kleur te dragen, de afgelopen maanden. Ik heb mezelf belooft dat 2010 een kleurrijk jaar voor mij zou worden. Het gaat allemaal om kleur en positief denken. Ja zo is het.

OPI Alice in Wonderland

I was shocked...couldn't breath! It was a while ago I've been on the website of OPI, so when I saw this on another nail blog (I don't know whose blog it was...please, I've left a comment on your blog about the Alice in Wonderland polishes, leave a comment and I will link to your post) my eyes just popped! I want the purple one, for sure! Now I have to find out where to get this little beauty. Anyway it's on my wishlist.

Ik was geschokt...kon niet ademen. Het was een tijdje geleden dat ik op de website van OPI was, dus toen ik dit zag op een andere blog (Ik weet niet meer van wie de blog was...ajb, laat een comment hier achter, zodat ik naar je blog kan linken, ik heb een berichtje achter laten op je blog over deze lakjes) toen rolde letterlijk mijn ogen uit mijn oogkasjes. Ik wil de paarse, zeker! Nu moet ik nog uitvinden waar ik dit kleine schatje vandaan ga halen. Het staat ieder geval op mijn wenslijst.
